Beginning February 1st 2007, Brucellosis and Pseudorabies testing will be carried out exclusively at our Live Oak facility. In order to expedite testing, specimens may be shipped directly to the Live Oak laboratory, 912 Nobles Ferry Road, Live Oak, FL 32064; if additional tests are requested, the specimen will be forwarded between Kissimmee and Live Oak as necessary. Please remember that the VS Form 4-33 should accompany these specimens, filled out and signed by the submitting veterinarian. These forms are obtainable from the USDA Regional Office: (352) 313-3090, ext 237. In addition to Brucellosis and Pseudorabies, the Live Oak facility is now the testing destination for all Johnes serology and culture. Prices vary with test method. These specimens should be shipped directly to Live Oak to ensure prompt and accurate results. Please contact the Live Oak Laboratory at (386) 330-5700 should you have any questions.
Leptospirosis MAT testing is performed on Thursday of each week. Samples must be received by 9:00 A.M. on Thursdays to be included in the current week's testing. If you have any questions please call the Bacteriology Department at (321) 697-1499.
PCR testing is now available for Chlamydia, FIV, FeLV, Feline Herpesvirus, Canine Herpesvirus and West Nile Virus.
