LP Gas Regulations

Chapter 527, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 5F-11, Florida Administrative Code, are the primary laws governing the regulation of liquefied petroleum gas (propane) in Florida. Additionally, many different applicable safety codes have been adopted by incorporation in Chapter 527 in order to ensure the safe handling, transportation, distribution and use of this product in Florida. To view the statutes and rules enforced by this office, simply click on the links to the left. Please remember, while every attempt is made to keep these regulations up-to-date, these should not be construed as current official language. Also, even though the Bureau of LP Gas Inspection is the primary authority for the regulation of LP gases in Florida, other state and local agencies may have requirements in addition to those referenced here.
