Petroleum Inspection Statutes
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is charged with enforcement of Florida's Gasoline Inspection Law and the rules and regulations adopted under it. Enforcement of the Gasoline Inspection Law is the responsibility of our Standards Division and is under the direction of its Bureau of Petroleum Inspection. Our Statutory Authority is in The Florida Statutes: Chapters 501.91, "Antifreeze Act of 1978"; 525, "Gasoline and Oil Inspection"; 526, "Sale of Brake Fluid"; 570.46, "Division of Standards: Powers and Duties". The Florida Administrative Code contains our Rules in 5F-2, 5F-6 and 5F-10.
